Their history dates back to over 100 years in the business, in that period they uniquely developed dyes to be sandwiched into two layers of polymers for prosthetic use (people with iris defects etc) they then developed for limited use over 50 years ago a special version of an annually prescribed coloured contact lens for cosmetic purposes.

The only alternatives worth looking into in addition to Waicon are Solotica from Brazil who have some beautiful colours, the only negatives with this brand are the expensive price and a very large iris opening which can look fine in lighter eyes as the natural color blends with the lens colour well.
Another brand with nice colors are Adore C but once again they have the same large iris opening and is very similar to Solotica in this way.
Once again all these brands are very difficult to find outside of Sth America and Europe.
